What we ask about your Ford
Requirements vary by model, year and engine, so a quote that ignores those is a guess. These are the things that actually change the figure.
What it tows and what it carries
A Ranger that tows a van every weekend and a Ranger that does the school run are on different schedules, and most manufacturers publish a separate column for heavy duty. If yours works, say so and we will quote the right column rather than the cheap one.
The engine
Ford has sold several engines under the same model name, and the oil quantity, the filter and the plugs all change with it. The build plate or the logbook settles it. If you do not know, we will look before we quote rather than guess and revise.
Whether it is a diesel
A diesel has a particulate filter that needs the right sort of running to clear itself. Short trips and heavy idling make that harder. We will ask how the vehicle spends its week, because that changes what we look at.
Any accessories fitted
Bull bars, trays, long-range tanks, dual batteries and suspension lifts all change access, weight and sometimes the inspection outcome. Tell us what is on it so the time we quote is the time it actually takes.

Fords, and Rangers in particular, are among the vehicles we see most, usually because they are working. That is a statement about our workload, not about any authorisation from Ford. We are independent.
The schedule for your vehicle is in its own logbook and varies by engine, year and duty. We follow it, use appropriate parts, stamp the book and keep the records. We will not print an interval here, because the one that fits a working ute is rarely the one that fits the same model doing light kilometres.
If a vehicle is off the road it is not earning, so tell us when you need it back and we will tell you honestly whether that is realistic before you leave it.

Can you service a Ranger that is still under warranty?
Yes. The ACCC's position is that using an independent repairer does not affect your consumer guarantees, and manufacturer warranties generally do not require dealer servicing where the work meets the manufacturer's standards. We follow the schedule, use appropriate parts, stamp the logbook and keep our own records.
Do you work on vehicles with a tray or a bull bar fitted?
Yes. Tell us what is fitted when you book. Accessories change access and weight, and for an inspection they can change what has to be assessed, so we would rather know before the vehicle is on the hoist.
We run several Fords for work. Can you handle them together?
Yes, that is what the fleet and trade side is for: reserved early drop-off, planned servicing and monthly invoicing on approved accounts. Ring the workshop and we will set it up.
