What can change the price
Service schedule
Renault Australia services most passenger models, Trafic and Master every 12 months or 30,000 km; Megane R.S. and Clio R.S. are 12 months or 20,000 km. On most models an oil condition sensor can call the service earlier. Your car's own logbook is the final word for your model.
What a generic service misses
- Follow the oil sensor
- If the dash calls a service before 12 months or 30,000 km, that is the oil condition sensor, and it wins.
- EDC gearbox oil and filter
- Renault lists it as a separate item, for example 6 years or 90,000 km on Trafic EDC, so it is easy to skip.
- Brake fluid, coolant and the belt kit
- 48 months or 120,000 km on recent passenger models, Koleos, Trafic and Master.
- Spark plugs
- 48 months or 60,000 km on recent Captur, Arkana and Kadjar; 120,000 km on the Koleos.

What moves the figure
- How much oil your engine takes
- Engines take different amounts. Yours always gets its full fill, and the price is confirmed for your car.
- The oil your engine needs
- We use the specification your manufacturer sets, from Liqui Moly, Penrite, Motul, Castrol, Mobil and Valvoline. The grade and the brand change the figure.
- Your oil filter
- A less common or dearer filter changes the figure. If a part has to be ordered in, we tell you when we call.
- What your schedule calls for
- Other filters, spark plugs or fluids due at this service are extra items, priced before we start.

Which oil does my Renault take?
The one carrying your engine's approval. On Renault that is usually Renault RN17, Renault RN0700 / RN0710, Renault RN0720 and Renault RN17 RSA, depending on the engine. We confirm it from your rego before quoting.
How often does a Renault need a service?
Renault Australia services most passenger models, Trafic and Master every 12 months or 30,000 km; Megane R.S. and Clio R.S. are 12 months or 20,000 km. On most models an oil condition sensor can call the service earlier. Your car's own logbook is the final word for your model.
Will servicing here affect my new-car warranty?
No. Servicing at an independent workshop does not affect your consumer guarantees, and manufacturer warranties generally do not require dealer servicing where the work meets the manufacturer's standards. We follow the schedule, stamp the logbook and keep the records.

Among the most common Renaults on Australian roads: Koleos, Captur, Clio, Megane, Trafic and Master. Whichever you drive, send the rego and we confirm the engine, the oil approval and the price before anything is booked.
