Details

Servicing here does not affect your consumer guarantees, and manufacturer warranties generally do not require dealer servicing where the work meets the manufacturer's standards. We follow the schedule, use appropriate parts, stamp the logbook and keep the records.

What you're requesting

How we service your MINI

  • Your manufacturer's service schedule, for your model, year and engine
  • Oil carrying your engine's approval code, from Liqui Moly, Penrite, Motul, Castrol, Mobil and Valvoline
  • OE-specification filters from Mann, Mahle, Ryco and Bosch
  • Service indicator reset
  • Logbook stamped and the records kept
  • Price confirmed for your car before any work starts

What can change the price

Service schedule

MINI uses Condition Based Service: the car works out when each item is due from how it is driven, rather than on a fixed schedule. It tracks oil, brake pads, brake fluid and a vehicle check. Your car's own logbook is the final word for your model.

What a generic service misses

BMW Group oil, not generic
MINI engines take the BMW Longlife approvals. Which one depends on the engine and whether it has a particulate filter.
Battery registration
Start-stop MINIs with a battery sensor need a new battery registered, or it can be overcharged.
Brake fluid every two years or so
The service system calls it by age, so a low-kilometre MINI still comes due.

Needs a scan tool: Condition Based Service reset · Battery registration · Fault code read

What moves the figure

How much oil your engine takes
Engines take different amounts. Yours always gets its full fill, and the price is confirmed for your car.
The oil your engine needs
We use the specification your manufacturer sets, from Liqui Moly, Penrite, Motul, Castrol, Mobil and Valvoline. The grade and the brand change the figure.
Your oil filter
A less common or dearer filter changes the figure. If a part has to be ordered in, we tell you when we call.
What your schedule calls for
Other filters, spark plugs or fluids due at this service are extra items, priced before we start.

Which oil does my MINI take?

The one carrying your engine's approval. On MINI that is usually BMW Longlife-01, BMW Longlife-04 and BMW Longlife-17 FE+, depending on the engine. We confirm it from your rego before quoting.

How often does a MINI need a service?

MINI uses Condition Based Service: the car works out when each item is due from how it is driven, rather than on a fixed schedule. It tracks oil, brake pads, brake fluid and a vehicle check. Your car's own logbook is the final word for your model.

Will servicing here affect my new-car warranty?

No. Servicing at an independent workshop does not affect your consumer guarantees, and manufacturer warranties generally do not require dealer servicing where the work meets the manufacturer's standards. We follow the schedule, stamp the logbook and keep the records.

Details

We are not a MINI dealer and MINI has not authorised this workshop. We are an independent workshop that services to the manufacturer's schedule and records what went in.

Among the most common MINIs on Australian roads: Cooper / Hatch, Countryman, Clubman and Convertible. Whichever you drive, send the rego and we confirm the engine, the oil approval and the price before anything is booked.
