What brings a car in

Do I need rotors as well as pads?
Only if the rotor is below the manufacturer's minimum thickness or has run out of true. We measure it and tell you the number, and rotors are quoted before any work starts.
What does the starting price cover?
Pads on a common sedan or hatchback, fitted, with the brake fluid checked and a road test, from $150. European, performance and larger vehicles, and any rotors, are quoted first.
Why does the pedal go soft?
A soft or sinking pedal is hydraulic, air, a leak, or a failing master cylinder. It is not a wear item and it will not fix itself. Do not drive it, call us.
Is the brake check really free?
Yes. Diagnosis is free. You only pay if you approve the repair. We measure the brakes, show you the readings and quote the work. If you would rather not go ahead you owe nothing.
